PageLayer Features
PageLayer is aiming at simplicity but yet reserve a lot of freedom through a set of basic functionalities:
- Create new pages, from scratch or from templates
- Create the document layout with basic building blocks
- Resize, move, style or copy blocks to shape the document
- Type text inside any block or just use them as layout elements
- Rich editing text capabilities: style the content as simply as in a word processor
- Upload and add pictures to the page
- Resize or crop pictures without quality loss

What is PageLayer?
PageLayer is an online website editor, some might call it a Web CMS.
It is different from traditional CMS in that it makes the actual website completely editable, without relying on complex forms or dedicated editing pages. It is a little bit like working on the MS Word document.
It is fast, simple, gives direct access to the content and shows instant results.
Successfully Deployed Websites With PageLayer
September 2009: version 1.0 has been running on three websites for over a year. Overall feedback has been very positive. In May 2009, the 1.0.1 release has been pushed through the version server to fix a few issues and improve user experience.
Support has been minimal as PageLayer appeared to behave nicely and predictably during this first year. The 1.0.1 fixes will solve the reported issues and hopefully reduce support requests to nil.
